West Coast Canine Life RAW Fed Muffin Mix Recipe
If you prefer to feed RAW you can use West Coast Canine Life Muffin Mix to add ORGANIC whole grains and therefore carbohydrate energy to your dog’s diet. Use this recipe WITHOUT MEAT and add it to your raw food.
EACH BATCH SHOULD CONTAIN ½ CUP OF ORANGE VEGETABLE AND ½ CUP OF GREEN VEGETABLE.
Green vegetables: green beans, zucchini, broccoli*, pureed.
Oil: Only use high quality oils . Examples are: first pressed olive oil, safflower or sunflower.
Blueberries: Add ½ - 1 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries to the batch.
- 5 cups West Coast Canine Life Premix
- If you are feeding raw meat with ground bones use NO Calcium premix
- If you are raw meat without Bone use REGULAR formula premix
- 1 cup minced raw green beans or thawed and drained frozen beans. (see green vegetable substitution list (next) zucchini, broccoli, kale puree
- ½ cup minced raw carrot OR see orange vegetable substitution(next) carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkin (can be canned, but must contain contain pure pumpkin only), Butternut, Acorn, or Hubbard squash, pureed.
- 1 minced Red Delicious apple
- 1 egg (omit if your dog is allergic)
- ½ cup PURE unsweetened cranberry juice
- ½ cup organic sunflower or safflower oil, or first pressed olive oil
- ½ to 1 cup water
BAKING INSTRUCTIONS

- Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
- Lightly grease 24 medium size muffin tins.
- Combine all ingredients except the water and the mix in a large bowl. When thoroughly blended add 5 cups of mix and stir. Add water if needed to make the mixture resemble the consistency of cookie dough.
- Place prepared mix into tins to make 24 medium-size muffins.
- Bake at 350F (180C) for 15 to 20 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Do not over bake.
- Remove from oven and cool thoroughly on racks before placing in containers or zip storage bags. Muffins can be stored in the refrigerator for 5 days or frozen
